課程概述 |
This course integrates chemical principles from sophomore- and junior-level courses into lectures on the structure and function of biological molecules. The lectures will emphasize the structural and biological aspects, serving as extensions from the molecular level. The structural portions build on knowledge of the structure and conformation of organic compounds and serve to understand biomolecular function. The biological portion is meant to extend the chemical understanding to biological systems. |

課程目標 |
This course aims to provide 1) an overview of biological molecules from a chemical perspective and 2) the necessary biochemistry jargon to understand current bio-related literature. The ultimate goal is to bridge the various sophomore- and junior-level chemistry courses, and this particular course with the current biochemical literature. |

課程要求 |
Come to class prepared and awake (through the whole lecture). Study. Do well on exams and final. Get the grade you want (hopefully) or at least deserve.
